Students at Educational Risk (SAER)

The school provides support for students at educational risk, both underachieving and talented and gifted students. Where necessary, individual education plans (IEP) are developed by classroom teachers. These plans are designed to meet the individual needs of any student at risk.

Discussions involve parents and the teacher and may also involve support staff, school administration and any other outside agencies that may be able to assist in supporting the child and the teacher. The District School Psychologist is sometimes involved in supporting teachers to develop these plans.
